What a UK welcome I received after months of planning.

Sidey made me feel most welcome.

First day was familiarisation day with as easy ride up to Matlock to meet the amazing Steve (Stephanie actually) secretary of the new Ulysses Motorcycle Club who achieved the so called impossible, never before task of getting a non UK resident bike insurance.

Arranged to meet Pict on the way, but what with so much flashing past me at unfamiliar speeds, seems everything is in a hurry here ........ Cars, trucks, signs, map references, actually the only thing slowing down was the GPS which karked it by the end of the day. Finally got to see up close the amazing trike. :yeyeye:

Luckily, the man of steel, stainless that is, come roaring up behind me near Matlock & saved the day guiding me to my destination, thanks Lee. :good: I was running out of puff by then.

Studley's TDM is a dream to ride, thanks for preparing it.

Yeah, it can be a bit manic on our roads this time of year, but I'm sure Hartside will find you a few hidden treasures to enjoy though.

Did Mick show you how to accomplish the 'other' impossible mission of checking the oil level ?  You should find that it won't use as much oil as your mk1.  Enjoy the bike anyhoos. :good:

Kym, a couple of things re the Isle of Man. Your UK mobile will be classed as abroad. ABMs when there last week they were resurfacing some parts of the course with loose chippings though the mountain is clean.
Crack on and enjoy but stay clear of Yorkshire Dales tomorrow.

Finally got to see the amazing trike...

Was hoping you might get to try a spin round the block for completeness of the TDM experience (see other posting). Maybe when you come back south?
