I am in the process of fitting some new heated grips and handguards. However i have fallen at the first hurdle.....removing the bar ends. Now I am sure when i took them off a couple of years ago i just used an allen key that fitted in the end. Not now. Oh no. Seem tighter than a tight thing and i am starting to damage the thread.
The bars have been re assembled by someone else at a later date after having forks re built.
Am i missing something?

If they have used threadlock, you might have to warm the bar-ends up. Don't know why you would use threadlock on them though.

Yeah don't know. They are set solid. I think i might have to try and borrow a heat gun or 'borrow' the wife's hair dryer!

Prolly rusted i would think, spray some lube at it, i mix acetone and power steering fluid ( cos i had no ATF) 50/50 and it works a charm for me.
