Has anyone split fork top bolt from the preload adjuster that runs inside it ?

I have indeed on a MK1. Once the innards were understood. Lee made me a rebuild bush to make the item work and easily serviceable.

Doin valve clearances? Use dappers valve shim exchange program and the job will be carroty - Free (other than you postin me yer shims) for sporting members.

Active member of TPLQHCSRSFC and TSRMCMAS (even though a year off) and avid fan of PM not sent.

Yup they can be tight, soaked mine awhile..

Lee also made me a set - well worth contacting him if i recall he uses allen heads rather than screwdriver slot as per original and a bushing or sleeve inside
