UPDATE:
It's looking good guys. There are 9 of us so far.
We have:
AliG
CatsBum
SagaLout
DazzerB
Bobos
Whichwaywasit(Frank)
Bikernut 1986
Stephen (friend of mine from IAM)
Steven (a very old friend of mine).
(That makes 3 non-TDM's)

I would suggest that we book the ferry asap. The price is still the same as when I proposed the trip, but the ferry company could change it at any time. I suggest we book individually on our credit cards. Then in the unlikely event that the ferry company go bust, we have some recourse to the credit card company. I don't want to be a harbinger of doom, but these days, you never know who is financially secure. I'm an accountant and I wouldn't want to vouch for anyone these days. As far as the B&B is concerned, they only require a £10 deposit and the balance is payable in euros on arrival, so again, worse case scenario is that we lose a tenner each. I can live with these odds.(sorry Ken if you read this thread. I'm not casting aspertions, just being a canny Scot).
On the subject of the ferry, the price includes an aircraft seat, but a 4 berth inside cabin costs £65. It can be added to 1 booking and 3 others can share (that makes £16.25 extra for a bed). I propose to book one and my mate Steve is grabbing one bunk so there are another 2 up for grabs. Can we co-ordinate if there is demand for a second cabin and decide who is booking it.
Right guys. I'll try to PM you all the booking form or you can download from the the Mototaranis website and if you are all happy for me to send the deposit to Ken, you can paypal me the deposits.
Any questions, just ask on here or PM me.
Thanks
Ali

Having done the overnight crossing quite a number of times in the past I definitely would take a cabin, I only did the aircraft seats once, never again!

I'm happy to book for my bike and 1 cabin for three others to share, or transfer my money to somebody else. The total cost for 1 bike and 1 cabin is £180; so taking off the cost of the bike at £65 means a cabin cost of £28.75 EA return. For me it's a no brainer!

If anyone would like to pitch in, I'll PM my account details.

I agree, Bobos, but did you put the right details into the LD Lines website? I get a price of £150 with a 4-berth inside cabin (no windows) and £160 for an outside 4-berth cabin.

Just checking on who has booked the ferry and who hasn't? I don't mind sharing a cabin but just warning you in advance that (apparently) I snore a bit; in fact I'm probably lucky to still be alive as Dannyboy was making very strong threats to smother me because I kept him awake when we shared a room in Germany a couple of years back!

Anyhow, I don't mind sleeping on the aircraft seats as I can more or less sleep anywhere rolleyes.gif

Ahhh sussed what I was doing wrong! Arrival in UK is 21:30! I read over that bit and assumed it would be overnight blush.gif . No need for a cabin on the way back then!

Anyhoo, is that 4 people total wanting the cabin now? I'm due to be away from home from Tuesday morning and won't be back till the weekend so would like to get this booked if possible.

OK Bobos,
If you book a cabin, Bikernut, Frank (Whichwaywasit) and Martin (Catsbum) can fill the other 3 bunks.
Guys, can you liaise with Bobos to pay your share.
Thanks all. It's all starting to come together.
