Right, the time has come for this years EAG2G.
The route will be sorted by Mr Jolly and I will be sorting a campsite and evenings entertainment.
Date will be Saturday May 12th and will be Morning arrival, pitch tents ride for the day then back to tents and drink and eat

When we have a good idea of numbers I can get a campsite booked but it will be somewhere near Thetford (hopefully)

Ooh I dunno.gif

Depending on how far it is away from my house I may just get a cab home or I might sleep rough depending on the weather!!

Once you have the site sorted I'll sort the route out. How far are peeps wanting to ride that day??

I can sort a 200+ mile route out if people want that could pick up Mr Trevini and Mr Caerbannog on route if they want, or just start and finish at the camp site??

As for ride 200 mile sounds good, 100 either side of cake stop

I'd go for the same option as me old man's just up the road near Kings Lynn with a comfy bed.

Is that the ride only button?

The hopefully so button dont help with confirmed numbers as we'll need to reserve pitches.
The ride only button can include BBQ but numbers for that aint important til nearer the day.

I've had a reply from the Willows Campsite (Linky Here) in West Row, he's very happy for us to stay there as he used to ride an RD200

Prices are as follows:-

Pitches per night are £6.50 plus £1.50 per adult, or £1 children 2-12. If anyone needs an electric hook up they are £3.50.

When we have confirmed numbers we also need to pay a deposit, to save any bad feeling, I WILL NOT be paying it and then getting it back as my pockets can't handle that so when we get numbers a deposit will be asked for and pitches will be booked accordingly. If anyone wants to confirm at a later date then i will try to book there pitch on payment received so if there are no pitches available then they will miss out

I hope this don't offend anyone but I've been stung before (not from Carpe though)

I'm sensing that camping may not be a popular option, would people just prefer the ride out and maybe chish and fips at the seaside?
I thought camping might have been a good idea so we could get to know each other better rather than trying to get round everyone in a cake stop

To be fair Moose, the people who live within about an hours ride or so probably wouldn't camp. It might be worth finding a camp site near the start/finish venue for those who want to stay over. Maybe a biker friendly pub with camping facilities could be worth exploring? There are a few about that hold bike rallies and bbq type events.

I'll see what I can find out. The Fighting Cocks at Winfarthing (near Diss) is rumoured to have held bike club events in the past and has a field etc, but naff all else in the village. I don't know pubs or campsites in the western/central side of my patch 'cause I live close enough not to need to. If I get wind of anywhere, I'll let you know.

edit: Google search revealed
The Angel at Larling, NR16 2QU, 01953 717963. They only have 11 pitches, but have good reviews. Larling linky

The Ram Hotel at Brandon, IP27 0AX, 01842 810275. Only 1 review, but the location might suit. Brandon linky

I've just put a vote in for camping and the ride. If the camping happens?
The BMW club uses the camp site next to Banham zoo. Everyone on their best behavior when riding through the village and site.
There's a shop, pub and chippy over the road too.
