Doin valve clearances? Use dappers valve shim exchange program and the job will be carroty - Free (other than you postin me yer shims) for sporting members.

Wha collander are ya on aboot? On Carpe collander I cant see a way of trawling back to 2008 to see if its still there and not sure why it matters....you dunt need reminding to go anymore?

no just saying was a great location for a meet and wondered why we stopped going ... one of the best weekends ive had on bike

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I see, thought some link or summat from some collander somewhere has gone AWOL.

Coulda put it forward for an RTT suggestion, not the 2008 bit though.

EDIT: Ahh this used to be NOTN's Scotland G2G...guess it no longer happens as he aint aboot much and no one else did it.

It was a great weekend. Joe (Nanook) used to organise it, but I guess he's too busy enjoying retirement - lucky bassad! If one of our Scottish brethren were to organise one in 2013, I'd try & fit it in. The bunkhouse in Aviemore was well situated for rides out and next door to a decent boozer :drinks: .

LOL @ Manx900 !!! ya i did the first Scottish sept. GTT many years ago and did a few more since but i haven't managed to have the time or necessary $$$$ the last few years. I miss Nanook !

spyball alarm/immob, bluespot brake calipers and Stainless hoses, Fournales air adjustable shock with Remote Resevoir, forks raised 10mm thru yokes, racetech linear fork springs in 15 wt oil, Kappa wingrack/luggage, heated grips, Kedo handguards, dual heat controller to power heated jacket liner and or pants!!, Stebel 136DB horn, K&N air filter, colour matched Baglux tank cover (magnetic tank bag modified to fit cover), osram +50% headloight bulbs, headlight protector,"NitramSpecial" parking loight, tail light indicators all running on LED's & incorporate "Lite Buddies", MK7 Scottoiler fitted, taller screen, 2-2 stainless steel CCC's, Devil stainless down pipes. MKI Renntec engine crash bars & sump guard.
engine changed july 2007 on a dyno run it made 79.1BHP / Torque 59.9Had a brief flirtation with a 1999 MKIIa but it blew an exaust valve on the M5 so was sold on to be repaired.

I loike tay and hang sangwiches !

It was a great weekend, My client and I were over for it,

We got lost and did not arrive till dark, :hide:

Also i remember Dandy nicked my dessert on the saturday night... :rotflmmfao:

and then even more select crowd, but the weather was not brilliant.

There seemed top be a feeling that it was a long way to go for fantastic roads and accommodation, but unluckily, some, wind and rain.

Happy to head North again if people are interested, but generally must avoid 15 sept for domestic ( and therefore safety - my own) reasons

We still make a point of getting to Bellingham every year.

Last year, it was Waspy & myself, and we took Boy up there for his first big trip on his CBF 125. - it was interesting getting up there without using any motorways.

And the pub is under new management - the restaurant is much better & they've moved it downstairs - so it's easier for all you old gits :P

Both Bellingham and Aviemore were memorable. 'Doing' the passes from Bellingham with Hartside Man and the ride up from Glasgow to Aviemore following Big Dave on a wonderful road with 3rd/4th gear bends for about 30 miles both stick with me. Anyone remember which road the bends were on? Also the trip from Aviemore to Edinburgh on the way home cross country with my Manager and I following Dandy with Andy and Tam on tiny roads. Great times.

2001 TDM. 1990 Serow. 2004 DRZ400.  3 bikes, four cylinders. Who needs more?

I thought your experience of camping in a river at Aviemore had put you off Dave :D
