In the meantime, Seaways bike café at Fridaythorpe opens on July 1st. It's my second home so maybe I'll see you there.

My name's Lee and I have a stainless habit, an aversion to rusty bolts and ride a 900. (Without rusty bolts)
I also use a lathe and miller and sometimes help out people on here.
2002 900 silver,oil pressure switch with brass 90 degree conversion, RG fork protectors. Wilburs custom made rear Shock with remote hydraulic preload and RG shocktube, Wilburs front springs. Scotoiler with a custom made swing arm delivery unit. Silicone radiator hoses.BMW 1150 handguards with Touratech extensions, Carbon Fibre yoke cover and fender extenda, MRA flip screen, Yamaha Engine bars, SW Motech Centre Stand, Kappa wingrack three box Luggage with E21's as option from the K960 boxes, Zumo 660 satnav on Touratech mount, Led Voltage monitor, Baglux tank cover, Clear LED Rear light, Aux LED brake light, BikeVis bullet LED's under front  nose,Stainless rear axle nut, stainless chain adjusters, stainless wheel spacers front and rear, Probolt Polished Stainless Flanged Hex engine screws, Polished stainless fairing screws, stainless disc bolts. Have you ever made up a pilot screw Lee? It's for my XT600, I'd like a longer one with knurled head if it's doable, I believe the thread is M4 x 0.7, be a fiddly job though.

Pilot as in tapered end that fits in a jet ? Or the throttle stop screw ?

Tapered brass screw that adjusts the mixture, goes into a carb drilling to allow fuel past the throttle slide.

Never tried Seaways, too close to home when I lived over there. Is the tea and cake stand at Fimber roundabout still going (current situation notwithstanding)?

The thought of easier adjustment was nice.

i used to ride out with Yorkshire 2 stroke club from squires and seaways was the destination.

 

We usually carried on to scabs for finch and chimps by the deedide

Being delivered next week sometime. Thanks for all the advice.

engine changed july 2007 on a dyno run it made 79.1BHP / Torque 59.9Had a brief flirtation with a 1999 MKIIa but it blew an exaust valve on the M5 so was sold on to be repaired.

Can't remember who I did it for, but I put a stainless cap screw into a brass pilot screw once.

I assume just drilled/tapped/locktited?

Might be an idea.

Yes used loctite 638, as I recall, the cap screw head was turned smaller to go down hole.
