Would anybody be able to steer me in the direction of a replacement bulb for the small light on the front of the 850.  Not sure what it;s called.

I checked mine as it starts flickering after a while and is generally useless and it doesn't appear to be lighting fully and I've never seen a bulb like it.

I've ordered These for my 850 to get that light a bit brighter if that helps

But this looks like a good deal too https://www.gearbest...tml?wid=1433363

It's your "side light" or "parking light" or whatever floats yer boat skedaddle.

I changed my filament type lamp for a LED one 4 years ago and still going strong, mines not quite so elaborate as your one !!

Cheers JMC the Chinese ones look like a bargain, 10 for 3 quid! And they look fairly similar.

Cheers Gdogg, its fairly elaoborate alright, the front of the bulb is angled upwards so it points straight out even thought the bulb fitting makes the bulb point downwards. Pretty nifty for a bulb really.

So my bulbs came and they are a little bit too long, the light cover won't go back on so I'll have to find shorter ones

Not a big deal as I've put these ones in the cars and they make a huge difference

flickering is good it makes you more viable than a constant light.

i think there was an accessory back in the 70s to do this

Ive 2 of those and was looking at doing the same :)
I'm off next week so might get a chance to do it then

Did you remove the holder from the front or had you to remove the fairings

I removed the fairing on mine as i was swapping it anyway, the mk2 is a bit more awkward to remove though so if you can get access all the better.

Edit... I suspect you may have to remove anyway as you will need a bit of room to resolder the wiring.

So I was bored last night and took one on those led bulbs apart and soldered if back together to make it fit, not sure if it's too bright till I get the bike out again but it's now a lot brighter than stock :)
Sorry pics are sideways I'm on the phone

Good work !

I'd reinforce those little boards, though, solder isn't the most durable material when subject to vibrations....
