I think someone on here posted about it. Not sure it saves much, just changing from the OEM's to aftermarket saves a huge amount. Going to 2 to 1 just knocks off another couple of kg, which wont amount to anything once on the road.
If you really want one, there's one currently on ebay though that looks good - https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/153931526985

Complete GPR system 2:2 weighs less than 1 std silencer IIRC
Gotta agree with Nog - once moving on the road it won't matter and I don't believe the difference would be noticeable when wheeling it about in the garage

(.....as previously)......this was custom made to my design by Roy Osborn @ OS Stainless in the midlands.... beautifully made, but my ignorance, and theirs, resulted in a system which is slightly restrictive....if you’re inclined to pursue it, I’d suggest a bit more knowledgeable input would be helpful in order to retain / improve performance.....

You state "slightly restrictive", would that imply "silent & similar performance to OEM", or actually tighter than the original ?
What did it cost ?

Hard to tell but it looks like they merged the two pipes without using a collector that increases in size and allows the larger gas flow with the merged pipes.
Easy to affect scavenging if they didn't know what they were doing too.
Anyway, as above, I'd simply whack some nice aftermarket cans on and save the hassle. Plenty have been tried and tested over the life of these bikes without issue at all

Just be sure they're not too loud and fail MOT, like mine did.......

.......my impression is that ‘rev-ability’ is slightly down on standard...I seem to recall that a visit to a specialist, hoping to maximise performance by electronic means, was terminated by their conclusion that the exhaust was restrictive, which would prevent their potential ‘mods’ from being effective....
The pipe is certainly not quieter than standard, with a pleasantly ‘barking’ and clearly twin beat to it... but never been an issue at MOT time.
...as I recall it cost about £450.....but I’ll try to research....& report back

......seems to me the pipes gather into a ‘box’ (collector?) before exiting into the single ‘silencer’.
....as to “....whack on some aftermarket cans “ ....that’s an interesting variation on my own ongoing motivation, which would be to try to
refine the development of my bike (I failed, performance-wise - see above) but might indeed produce a result, depending on your priorities.
