Which is better?

I'm going for a 2-1 full exhaust system replacement an my '99 850 as the Motad 2-1-2 'Y' splitter is full of holes, the previous owner tried to weld it, but it's still blowing so I've decided to go for a new 2-1 full system.

Black Widow 2-1 full system is priced at £265 on flea bay and Delkevic is £280, which is better?

Are there any decent alternatives same price or cheaper?

Can't think of any alternatives and can't comment on which is best.  The Delkevic is pretty good though.

Hm, it's a bit like choosing tyres, having owned a new Black widow it did'nt resonate with me, i do however like the sound of Delkevic, after i bought the Black widow of course :) good luck.

I have a delkevic on mine and it sounds nice but not too loud, a bit of a crackle on the overrun (which I like) and it runs nicely on it, I don't think any jetting was changed but it was on it when I bought the bike.

I have just taken a Delkevic 2-1 system off. You could borrow it, and see if you like it.
Just a thought..

Thanks for the offer chrisbee, that's very generous. I think I'll go with the Delkevic, I'm liking the sound of it. The engine needs a bit of fettling first as it seems a little down on power and the exhaust pops at idle every few seconds.

I'm guessing valve clearances and/or carbs need addressing and while I'm at it, swap out the exhaust, call it an early Christmas present.

Start with the carbs, valves are not likely to change suddenly or so much that the idle takes effect of it. Buy a carb kit while youre at it, change gaskets and float needle.
