I dropped the bike doing a u turn on an incline up in the mountains. I know, but I was tired and it was sweltering. The bike was fully loaded and the angle of fall was working against me by at least 15 degrees, the tyres off the road and pointing up the hill. I thought there's no way I can do this, but nothing ventured...
l nearly gave myself a hernia but I got that bike up. For future reference the way I did it was leave it in gear, then pull the handlebar closest to the road to full lock then get the bike up so wheels make contact and then get underneath that bar end and give it everything. I might be 60 and only weigh 10 and a half stone, but weakling I ain't.
