Last time I bothered to check I was averaging 6ltrs> / 100kms, sorry, can't convert to mpg. Right hand and oval mulching tubes have a big impact.

works out at 6.8 litres to do 100kms of city commuting for me

How do you manage to get such amounts of soup through the system ? I believe as low as 50mpg / as much as 5.6l/100km would be hard for me...

Constant stop start accelerating. I commute in peak traffic.

Going too work is 3 roundabouts, approx. 25 sets traffic lights over 8 miles.

Home is approx 23 sets and 4 roundabouts. So it's constant stop/start/accelerate adjustments.

I reckon about 46mpg.

I reckon about 8k kms/5k miles for the rear and 13k kms/8k miles for the front. Michelin Pilot road 4's.  Lovely and sticky and great cornering confidence.  I ride in a sporty manner.  Love fast cornering - no chicken strips on my tyres.

I had PR3's last, the rear saw 3000, the front 4500, changed when I had just about touched the wear indicator because they had worn unevenly.....an indication of my increased confidence on left handers over rights.

Currently have 800 on a pair of Pilot Power 3 2ct.....very grainy up to the edges now, which helps in the wet at least :)

I'm nearly 17 stone too, so the tyres do really get a fair amount of abuse, and in this part of Scotland the distance of tarmac covered in turns is probably close to the same amount you spend on straights

Yup, I'm blessed with more time on corners than straights, too. My bike failed it's WoF (NZ MoT) yesterday. Rear tyre is poked. 1mm in the centre, 1.4mm on the sides. Front is 1.4mm. I guess less than 7000km's, fitted as a pair. Our minimum tread depth is 1.3mm.

I don't like em. I moved from Northumberland / Borders, to the NE of Scotland then down to NZ in the search for even tyre wear.

:good:     I have a friend from NZ who says the same, and my nephew got residency there last year and loves it. I can see a visit in my future, eventually
