Looks like I'd need to move the rear indicators to fit the PL347 fitting kit.
Easy job?
Thanks for any advice

You dont need to move the indicators unless you prefer.
Had the PL rack on my 9r and left the indicators where they are.

Looks like I do after all according to Givi website - quote

It all depends on the size of your cases.
With the small E21 or E22 and so, there is no need.

Or do I leave this off if only using the e22 cases?

IIRC you can fit the cross-bar at a different angle to go under the rear mudguard rather than thru' it. There's an old thread with pix somewhere here. Don't leave it off.
I can't be sure since mine were already fitted thru' the holes by the previous owner.
Don't lose the brackets & bits for mounting the indicators - they can't be replaced should you need them.

Joe the support bar needs to be in place, it will fit without going through the indicator holes, recall mine was angled up under the seat and put a cable tie around it..

This is the way to go!
On the other hand Joe, don't worry to much about remounting the indicator lights.
Take the hex bolt, bracket, two inox washers and put them in the most forward place on the wing.
I've used loctite 639 between every item and it stays secure and won't move.
Just lengthen the wires for the light by soldering them and use shrink tubes and self amalgamating tape.
Done it last week with my wife's bike. Less then a hour work, with cake and beer

When you use them, make sure you really do close the top lid and lock it shut. It is easy, if you do not pay attention, to remove the key - thinking the top is locked - without the lid being secured.
After losing a camera and a few other bits from this error I now pull on the handles to check the top is shut properly.
