I'm considering investing in a rear facing cam to cover my ass (Literally!) should the worse happen and La Insurance company need some help.

Has anyone got any recommendations? I was just looking at those 46Kam thingy-me-jigs.

I have got a Ghost-s. It sits on a steel L-shaped bracket (plus it really needs a stay for complete solidity). Found a bolt on my MT-07 over the headlamp. Very good pics, IMO. It's wifi controlled from a wrist band (very useful).

Depends how long your rides last.....if more than a few hours then battery life is an issue and you should probably look to one which can be externally powered, through USB or other means.

I've got a Ghost HD, nearly 4 hour battery life, but it can be run off USB too.

Ghost make a smaller unit, the Stealth, but I'm not sure if it can be powered externally or not, but it is small, tidy and produces good quality output.

I keep meaning to buy one of the dual camera systems, but being as tight as I am I'm waiting for the price to come down a bit....I'm not looking for 4k video, quality  just very small waterproof cams which can poke out of a small hole in the bodywork....and something which can stay fitted to the bike even when I'm not there to keep an eye on it

900 with better bits. Owes me nothing, Makes me smile

My main cam was a Sony that fixes to my helmet, but I now mostly use a very good GoPro clone that I plug into my auxiliary socket. It starts and stops off the ignition. If I was riding in London frequently, then I'd mount a rear facing cam on my pannier rack and flop an extension cable out from under the seat.

I have to recommend this camera though. I got it for£35 on one of those Amazon deals
