checkout travelex, online not branches, but make sure there's a location you can collect from (I've used them when flying and they're in all airports) - just looking online it's 1.0977 - £1

Having a French partner we do a lot of travelling in France visiting family etc & have found that using your debit card rather than changing cash generally works out cheaper good.gif

Because i live so close to the border i got a great exchange rate £1==€1.145 clapping.gif

Especially with an acount that doesn't for foreign withdrawls.

My euros cost me a euro each! apw99 and stu got the same deal.

Well for those in reach of London anyway, the best place I've found for all currencies is the bottom of Edgware road, where, in between every Kebab house, lies a bureau de change. The competition usually means they give better deals than banks or mainstream currency dealers. I've had some very good deals from the Arabs.

Got mine yesterday from Thomas Crook.

€1.100 = £1.

paid £400 = €440

Will use my card for the Hotel bill.
