Yup, if you want. It's a good idea to do that.
I'll give you a ring over the weekend so we can compare notes and hopefully not double up on tools etc. I've got my standard "travel kit" packed, so we should be ok for most eventualities.

Hardly worth it as I'm only 2 1/2 hours from the tunnel, bearing in mind we land mid afternoon. Will definitely stop for grub though.

We have just booked the Ramada Maidstone for £64 room only on a special offer. Its a decent hotel, large grounds and range of facilities.
I thought maybe go via M40 instead of boring old M1
