I found a tiny bit of extra space in the garage and thought "Why not, you may never get another chance". So I had it.

1972 Suzuki T350, goes like stink, doesn't stop and has rather "interesting" handling characteristics.

Does anyone else have this compulsion to buy old bikes from their youth and pretend that they are as good as any modern wheels despite all evidence to the contrary.

Lovely - I had a T250 back in the day. It taught me all I needed to know about tuning two strokes and scary cornering ready for when I upgraded to a KH500. They were both utterly crap and scared me senseless (I wrote the KH500 off by hitting a house - don't ask!), but I'd buy either again in a heart beat.

I had a Gold GT250 M (Ram Air model) on an "N" plate, brought it from Andy Lee Suzuki - Cambridge in '79, loved that bike even tho' it kept holing pistons :dunno: , I'd have that back in a flash if I ever came across it.

P.S. - Andy Lee is the Father of Michael Lee the 1980 Speedway World Champion, was at the same school as Michael in the '70's.

Hi Quartemaster!

I did not know the existence of the Suzuki 350cc. I met the GT380 3-cylinder (green), which was my passion.

I did not have one. Mais would buy one today, for sure.

Beautiful birthday present! :cake eating:  :good:  :drinks:

Cheers!

Hi Sid,

Well I had a GT380 until last year. Sold it on a whim and regretted it immediately. Now the price for these triples has gone through the roof. It was a lovely, soft touring machine, unlike the T350!

Hi Quartermaster!

Oh my God. the guy had a suzuki gt380 and sold it. Jesusssss.
He was happy and did not know.

Suzuki GT 380 - A rare jewel.
The best

I see that on the side, there is a Honda CB. The seat, rear flashlight, side cover and several other pieces reminded me of the two CB350s I had.
Both with pedal and electric start.
1972 - front drum brake
1973 - front disc brake
In the picture this Honda CB, seems to have the largest engine. Is it a CB 500?

Cheers!

Not really.... the TDM was the first bike I owned that would actually stop when braked. Beats nostalgia for my part. But your 350 is beautiful  :good:

Until i got my TDM.....
Now the TDM is my everything bike... but does it all so much better.
When i took my RD for its MOT, the chap said, you havent done many miles this year, no i said, i just feel so much more comfortable on the TDM, and getting onto the RD after the Tdm, just makes it feel odd, and uncomfortable, and crap brakes..

I traded my Thunderace for a 2003 TDM900. First thoughts were "Blimey this is slow". A week later it all made sense.
