Also the handling and over all riding position. Suits me better too. It'll be the 3rd I've had.

...at least you will know what to do when the suspension bushes seize just like the TDM

Have done a couple too. Not as easy as the TDM but not too hard!

I take it that's a brand new one? They look a lot more angular than the older model, I like it.

I wish I could afford a new one. It's an '09 Gen 3. There have been a few changes since and there's a new one with a 6 speed box later this year.
Current model.......
And the new one........

Welcome back to the fold
I think I prefer the current model over the new one (as far as looks are concerned).
Oftern been tempted by an FJR for the commute, but not sure it'd be as frugel as the TDM.

I used to regularly get 45-55 out of mine dmmsta on a commute type run. Once you are in top gear it just purrs along.

Yeah, I've done the IAM. And yeah, I recommend it (any so-called 'advanced training' come to that; not just IAM): A low cost training course based on the system used by the police, which is largely common sense once pointed out, making one smoother, quicker and safer. What's not to like? And why would one not want to tell others?

If this could drive you insane (wondering) whilst posing a risk of forcing a costly mistake, hiring one is an option. £100 per day is not peanuts but a lot cheaper than buying one.
Personally I felt like it was riding a two-wheeled tractor (which I suppose is what it is) and didn't like it when I tried one.
Your right Nick and i have thought about it, however a £100 for a day equates to around a 1000 miles or a bit more at todays prices of petrol i love my TDM and while the GS is very appealing i dont think my itch is as scratchy as Matts was, plus he's loaded anyway i reckon it will be a bit like riding my old xt500 but a bit more better different and faster
I used to drive a Tractor regularly and i liked it !! what does that say.
