Not sure about on the TDM, but I feel I can take our little 125 scooter anywhere.

:)

Yeah, I've done the IAM. And yeah, I recommend it (any so-called 'advanced training' come to that; not just IAM): A low cost training course based on the system used by the police, which is largely common sense once pointed out, making one smoother, quicker and safer. What's not to like? And why would one not want to tell others?  :hide:

If I had to take that route to survive or save my family, yes. Just for fun or thrill seeking, never.

I agree with the car. Scares the £$*! out of me as well. But some of that seems to be the feeling of being trapped in the car.

Note. Though I'm pretty sure I'd be hugging the wall side. Riding on the outside track would be a leap too far.

I would probably want do it on a smaller bike like a AJP200 PR4 I used to borrow for Green laning.. Something light with ground clearance, but low enoungh to get a foot dab or quick bail out if needed.

There is something about the adrenaline /challenge that makes you want to ride it. Having said all of that I could arrive there and look at it and just think.........Nah.

It's amazing how quickly you aclimatise to roads like this.

I found myself driving around buses and lorries on 18 inch of road on some occasions when I was riding an Enfield through the himalayas. It just becomes the norm.
