You need to drain the oil beforehand, two bolts under the hood.

I changed the screen on my Nokia, easy job but I know the iThing is more difficult to do.

My nephew broke one, had it repared then lost it in a river...

Have seen it done, and its pretty easy - if a little fiddly.

Youtube has good vid's and most of the ebayer that sell the replacement screens include various tools & subdgers for the dismantling...

Here you go

https://www.ifixit.c...evice/iPhone_5s

There are plenty more guides and vids out there

Tools, spudgers, suckers etc can be found at Maplins

I did my first one with my MotoG. Went OK. Suggest you do loads of research first. It helps and gives confidence.

I unnerstand that Apple stuff needs to be persuaded sometimes and it is helpful if you know where the obstacles / sticking points are beforehand.

A kid at work goes through screens like crazy. They are £50 fitted to his 5c. Better than wrecking the phone imho.

I didn't think those that buy iPhones keep them long enough for them to break

Thanks chaps. Sorted now. By the time you have bought kit there is only a few squids atwix getting eBay kit and taking it to experienced screen fitter.

Still want me a spodger though.
