Not sure when they changed but the exhausts on my 2003 were different from those on the 2012. I only discovered it when I stole one off one bike to get an MOT as it was leaking from the mesh gasket where it joins the pipe. Well actually, I didn't notice it. It was eagle eyed ChrisR that spotted it.

2004 900 - Blue with lots of goodies

2012 900 - Still adding shiny bits. Was black, changed to white and now back to black again.

i tink the zorsts on the TDM 900 were longer from about 2008 onwards to meet stricter emissions?   I had spotted the one Laurenceaux is selling but even at £150 it's unrealistic as we've all seen mint pairs selling for £80-£100.

spyball alarm/immob, bluespot brake calipers and Stainless hoses, Fournales air adjustable shock with Remote Resevoir, forks raised 10mm thru yokes, racetech linear fork springs in 15 wt oil, Kappa wingrack/luggage, heated grips, Kedo handguards, dual heat controller to power heated jacket liner and or pants!!, Stebel 136DB horn, K&N air filter, colour matched Baglux tank cover (magnetic tank bag modified to fit cover), osram +50% headloight bulbs, headlight protector,"NitramSpecial" parking loight, tail light indicators all running on LED's & incorporate "Lite Buddies", MK7 Scottoiler fitted, taller screen, 2-2 stainless steel CCC's, Devil stainless down pipes. MKI Renntec engine crash bars & sump guard.
engine changed july 2007 on a dyno run it made 79.1BHP / Torque 59.9Had a brief flirtation with a 1999 MKIIa but it blew an exaust valve on the M5 so was sold on to be repaired.

I loike tay and hang sangwiches !

Hi all,

My price was based solely upon two criteria, the cost of the a new OEM pipe from Yamaha £500+ and the fact that the pipe coming off was "brand new", having been put on the bike to sell it to me. I didn't spot the difference until after I'd bought the bike from Bradford motorcycles but my more experience mates soon spotted it (see showroom photo). The length changed because Yamaha put a bit of catalyst inside I believe, thus the high price, even if they are all stainless steel.
