How hard is to remove the header pipes. Always been very nervous about snapping the studs.
Is there a sequence...oil soak remove?
Want them off as dirty and require some cats loving

The nuts/studs look in perfect condition, I would be surprised if they didnt come off easily.

harpic power plus max, wear gloves and away from the bike with hose pipe ready. rub on with green scourer, don't use a lot of pressure.
hose off...done, its that easy.
don't get the stuff on alloy as it'll melt it

Same here, 13 years of all year riding, with my washing regime has taken its toll, ACF50 can only do so much
I have to say Martin, I doubt the headers were much cleaner than that when it was new!! I certainly wouldn't bother removing them just to bullsh*t polish them up. They're easy enough to clean in situ. So I'm told

Thanks Matlock and I agree. She's about finished now, got some engine bars coming, want to paint the hugger as marked and that's it
Been riding her all weekend. Fallen in TDM love once more

Mine came off pretty easily after an overnight soak of plus gas, and you know what condition they'd have been in compared to yours
