I sold my 9er adventure as it was just a bit more modern but had no extra feelgood about it....did I also mention the noticeably poorer suspension?
The good thing that I miss is the FI

Improve the MK1, unless you plan on doing a lot of travelling (not at the mo) a 9r, having said that had no problem riding to Slovakia and around Europe on a MK1 though as many have, i like em all though.

As a former Mk1 owner that now has a Niner, I preferred the Mk1 on twisty abck roads, but the niner is the better bike for long distance touring.

1992 Mk1, 76k miles, Hagon springs, MTC exhaust, 4½ gears Gone now :(
2009 900 abs, 42k miles, Yamaha heated grips, double bubble screen, R&G crash bungs, scottoiler, Autocom, 1500 lumen LED spotlights.

Well price bracket is similar to YSS and Hagon, M Shock will happily chat to you over the phone about your requirements, imo those 3 are like tyres, they all do the job, on the other hand you could splash out for the likes of a Nitron, Maxton or Wilbers etc but do you need to spend the extra !! or have deep pockets, if so i can vouch for Wilbers and many for Nitron, i think they are money well spent also, if doing big miles buy a posh one..

Fair point

I'll rephrase, IMO the Mk1 is better is better at powering out of low speed corners, and the niner is better on faster roads
