Brother says it will be a classic next year and should renamed "The Old Nail" cheeky bugger.
Super cheap to run, it had it's first chain and sprockets last year at 36,000. Proof that chain oilers work. The stainless bits I made over the years still look good as new. As for VFM I don't think you can do much better.

+1 considering how strong the engine is and the lack of corrosion to the frame as they age, you can't really ask for more

Doin valve clearances? Use dappers valve shim exchange program and the job will be carroty - Free (other than you postin me yer shims) for sporting members.

I agree with the VFM comment, hard to find anything comparable.

Talking of corrosion, I blasted the front of the engine last summer as I had quite a bit of crazy paving going on. Repainted and was well happy with the results.
Disappointed to see corrosion already, I'm guessing water based paint.
Mine is also a 2002 bike but registered 2005.

2008 TDM900 in beautiful black. Fender extender, after market Bullster touring screen, radiator guard, RM-G crash bars, 12V/USB socket, Oxford heated grips, Bagster tank cover, centre stand, E22 Givi panniers, standard exhausts. Beautiful Acerbis hand guards. <p>2015 Honda Crosstourer Highlander dct. Fabulous bike, but getting heavier as I age. The 9er is its replacement, eventually.
