Random non-symmetrical drill hole pattern on disc ?

I restored a S7 soon after I was married.  I remember riding it that summer of the ladybird invasion.  The brakes weren't good but a fair chunk of the low power output went into the shaft drive anyway.  The enjoyment was in the rebuild, not in the riding.  Sold it and bought a stair carpet.

Apparently the Indian's had the throttle on the left so you could use your gun. Shame if you were left handed.
