anyway, start is nearest to Ardens this year, hopefully it will be daytime Ardenning...
Eupen is about 50km from home but more importantly the finish is at Genk which is only 30km from home... so short ride up and short, tired ride back home with 1000km in between.
o!! pk, 2 of those little yearplaques to hang onto the BMB medal arrived in the mail eons ago...
one is yours...
PS: your boots will be in the mail this week...

right!
why do they always organize these things when I'm out of the country??
But then again, around that time I'll probably be coming down from the Alps and crossing the Provence on my way to the Ardeche
Yamaha XT660Z Ténéré '08 + Yamaha TRX850 '97
I'll let go of my throttle when they pry it from my cold, dead hands...

Luckily my discs are still not here, so no discs/tax/MOT at the moment.....so I don't need to tear myself up about not going.

completely released the spring
top button (almost said nob) set to nearly 100% soft
bottom thingy also turned several knotches clockwise
its far better now. almost as good as on mk1
but on really crappy roads (like the ones near my base) its still very bumpy. but no more backaches. now the saddle...
as for the 1000km... only did 500km .. AGAIN.
corider didnt feel like doing ardens at night again, last year he saw a rider crash into a deer during the night part in the ardens.
and we were running late and was kind miffed about
the bad roadbook
poor extra signposts when near checkpoint
that there was lots of intended motorway sections
too many checkpoints, about one every 50km
little to no enthousiasm from organisers and people at checkpoints
only 160 subscriptions!!!! with that kinda sunny weather? used to be 600-700
... so gave up halfway
but sunday we made up by going to Henri Chapelle, Butgenbach, Cochem, following the Mosel downstream, passed the Nurburgring, Blankenheim, Monschau, Malmedy, Jalhay (Condroz rallye route), Verviers, Vise and back home.
good for another 500km... most excellent ride!
letting the tomtom rider guide us, stored the waypoints.
found a nice bikers motel in Cochem, run by a young dutch couple, opened this year april. have their card at home.
