Shorter dogbones test ride - feels much better turning into corners now.  :good:

Do you already have a 17" front wheel Al ?  I found it too much with the 17" wheel and a 1" rear rise.

STD front Fixitsan. I've no plans for a 17.

I'm impressed that such a relatively minor change in geometry has so improved turn-in

Know what you mean. Compared to STD I find I can feel the bike steering around the tank mid-line.......or maybe I was still drunk from the night before....

Care to share the dimensions of the shorter, 1/2” rise, dogbones Favs? I wouldn’t mind trying that mod out.

Put it all back together after having new fork seals and racetech springs fitted, feels like a different bike, rear shock is next although some adjustment helped a bit, might have to lay off the pies pizzas an eccles cakes again..

I thrashed the ol' girl today on a glorious ride through the flatlands of Lincolnshire to Horncastle; but she still loves me and I love her.  What a bike!

A 12v programmable timer arrived, with which, along with a tiny PWM + 12v inline windscreen washer pump, I managed to prototype a chain-oiler. I hope to do away with the pretty poor vacuum/gravity Scottoiler.

I may need a non-return valve on the delivery side, More tomorrow.

Yesterday's result are encouraging.  I will be fastening it all to a board today - siphoning when idle check.

If anyone is interested, costs so far in GBP:

PWM 1.86 Ebay/Banggood

Pump 5.99 Eurocarparts

Timer 2.44 Banggood

My time = free2me

Inline NR valve is around 1.50 Ebay

If I go for a solenoid valve, then it would be another 5 - 6 quid

More fiddling in the bikeshed today...........

UPDATE deffo siphons past pump. Solenoid valve from Banggood £3.53

Made a hood for my bike Phone /Sat Nav mount

Original case     https://www.holdersa...rror-mount.html

Image of finished & fitted hood     http://www.carpe-tdm...lery&image=2372

Made from ProActiv marg tub, sprayed satin black and superglued to case.

Bottom of hood has a slight gap and is not glued . This should allow any water to drain away.

Yeah I've been busy tinkering and fiddling in the shed to stave off the temptations of (£££) work - different offers of long term employment almost every week since January.

Working for Scanty Draws, hmmm some of those elf girls from LOTR,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

FYI  I've never had a blue peter, much less presented it, you naughty young man. :punishment:

Was to take the old cow & my (new(ish)) wife to a track day - part of a driving skills course.

Thought we were early - just to find ~200 plastic rockets ahead of us in the extreme summer heat.

No track day  :sorry: but a nice long drive back home  :P

Tightened steering bearing - amazing what change a simple ~60 deg turn on those nuts make !  :P

Also bought a new pair of lighter, more summer friendly boots  :badgerrock: as it's now 27@C here... On way home hit reserve after 330kms, giving 4.2L/100km (or 67MPG in gibberish), I believe a top 10 in my ownership.

Off to Portugal on tuesday for a 6 day MT-09 Tracer holiday  :pimp: - and a few days to recover before going home.

My girlfriend on an MT-03, looking forward to test that one as well...
