Noticed yesterday that there is too little rebound damping.

I modified forks some 12 years ago, I think, and have since long forgotten if rebound damping adjusters were disabled in the process.

Anyone knows ?

The Mk1s had cartridge damping internals - superior to the shite fitted to later 850s and 900s

You must have fitted a FMGV S2040 kit. Looks lie you might have had to disable the rebound damping to fit it. Why not try some fresh oil and see how the rebound damping is?

Fresh oil ? Changed it just 4yrs/20,000kms ago  :)

You're probably right - change oil and grade, think I saw a 10 grade fork oil can in the shed. Will try 15 this time. When I push down front and release it, it takes a full 2 swings to stop. Just wanted to be sure ther wasn't a quick fix at hand...
