I have spoken to IoM steam packet and the bookings for july 2010 will be coming on line in next 3 weeks (i.e. late november)

we should be able to make bookings then (prices will be a lot less than TT)

direct reservations number is 01624 661661

not sure if there are any ideas firming up on accommodation but this site has bunkhouse accommodation for up to 20 as well as plenty of tent space

bunkhouse is single beds and is £16ppn but possibly less for group

http://www.cronkdhoo.com/

it is about 6-7 mins walk from Hawthorns pub/restaurant

here is review

http://www.ukcampsit....asp?revid=5094

Clare and I stayed there (not at TT) in motorhome in 2007

central location, friendly, clean and nice view over the valley

I had this back from them when I enquired at the end of July, shall I respond and ask for costs for 15-20 bikes for 10th-17th July, to give us an idea?

Thank you for your query,

Prices for 2010 will not be available until late October/early November. We do not offer group discounts but would advise to book as far in advance as possible to avail of the cheapest fares. If you contact me again in November with travel dates and the amount of bikes and people travelling I should be able to give you a quote then.

Isle of Man for me.

I'd be quite happy with Portugal (via Santander?) But an alternative, maybe depending on the outcome of the International 2011 meet discussions, could be Vosges - either as a recce, or in it's own right?
I have booked ferry from heysham for sat 10th July.

My comments about Portugal were before the finalised vote on RTT '10 location. I'm certainly on for IOM next year, but notice a distinct lack of postings about ferry plans so I've still yet to book.

Is there an agreed RTT location yet, as there's a danger that if people arrange accommodation individually we'll end up widespread.
