Thanks for the advice folks.
Out of curiosity does the Mk1 have a fuel filter since seen them advertised also electric pump repar kits neither of which i thought it had???

Not an inline filter but apparently there is a strainer filter in the T-piece where the fuel pipe connects to in the carb. I've never checked mine so can't confirm if there is one or not. I wish I'd heard about this when I had my carbs out for the Dynojet kit. Try the tdm blow job. It always gets my bike going after a long siesta. This is my contraption for the tdm blow job.

They used to be a basted to start if they'd been sitting for a time till I started turning the fuel tap off at the end of the ride, emptying the carb.
Next time, tap on, give it a little time and start with full choke.
I think the fuel was going off or something, but they all start first or second press of the button.

Thread Revival!

Yet another PIA start this morning to get to MOT after standing for a while. Unfortunately, no blow job for TDM since just recovered from 4 months of covid so lungs not the best but I have been suggested fitting an Electric R6/|Fazzer fuel pump on a switch to start bike then turn off when running?

Anyone tried this?

This is my contraption for the tdm blow job.

Any links or measurements for the bung please.
