If the earlier ones, I can prolly help.
If later design, you could get a truck or suitably sized mirror and ask a local glass company if they can cut it to size.
I did that fur dangermouse as mirror glass unobtainable.

Halfords used to sell stick-on mirrors to cover broken glass, in precut shapes to suit a range of cars. Maybe one would suit?
Plastic stick on 'cut to size' stuff here. 8" x 5" might even do both mirrors. I might take punt and feedback how it goes.... https://www.ebay.co....t4AAOSw~X1bg0JD

That includes the description:- Plastic Chrome mirror effect glass pannel
- which = plastic with chrome effect on the outside surface, to me.
The Halfords stuff was genuine glass & silvering like a real mirror IIRC.
Yes - go see https://www.halfords...174-850740.html

Yes I know the real glass option. Cutting isn't everyone's cup of tea though, and unless you get someone to cut it for free.... a pattern mirror from M&P is only £23....
The silvering on my original one has almost rotted off all around the edges so any improvement I can make for a couple of quid works for me !
Welcome to Yorkshire, have a nice day
Has anyone managed to successfully remove the original mirror from the enclosure ? Seems like you might have to soften the plastic quite a bit to get it to flex enough. I've not tried it myself

$0.02 my experience
the plastic mirrors are very poor optically when compared to 'real' mirrors

I have seen some and they don't give me much hope in terms of clarity, but. I've also seen some new stuff (last year or so ) which looks pretty good, as well as some chrome paint, Which I never thought would ever be able to achieve a mirror finish.
Expensive stuff, and would probably still just work better painting on the back of the surface, like a real mirror.....I thought it would look like the old Airfix silver paint I used as a kid but they're starting to make leaps and bounds with this sort of thing now.
A plain piece of glass with this on the back might be acceptable

Looks quite impressive.
I should have looked a bit more.
£35 +vat for 100ml
You can get a semi decent pair of replacement mirrors for that (with more up to date styling).
Worth remembering that it's available though, especially because of the high temperature resistance and suggestion for headlight bowl repainting !

I summoned the ghost of Blue Peter and had a go with the plastic film. It's fairly rigid but can be cut with sturdy scissors, and then sanded to fit

First trimming with scissors... (the protective plastic film just fell off, and as this was just a test I didn't mind that)

Old mirror, showing rotten back silvering around the edges...

Plastic mirror fitted....

I would say that 'visual acuity' of this stuff is about 80%-90% of mirrored glass, and seems perfectly acceptable, although I haven't tried it on the road yet....
This was the version I purchased... https://www.ebay.co....872.m2749.l2649

Good to know Chris. Looks like your fingers are a bit long in the last pic though. Be interesting to see (pardon the pun) how it fares on the road.

Ha, thats just poor workmanship, I haven't full deburred the edges at the back, so a few mm of the edges are raised up.
Just looking out of the window it might be a nice day for a socially distanced, lockdown rule respecting ride for essential groceries, and I'll have a better idea of how it works then !

Final verdict on the sticky plastic mirror material - it gives surprisingly good rear vision which would pass any MOT.
Like Stevebha says though, it's very scratch-able. When the sun shines directly on it from behind you lots of microscratches are already visible, but don't interfere with the view yet, although once the roads dry out and there's more dust in the air I expect the turbulence over the mirror glass with lots of dust will slowly start to worsen the condition of the surface. I'm certainly happy enough with it for now though. It's a good enough 'quick fix'
