My now very old Puma Goretex boots have finally decided to leak enough for me to replace them, so I treated myself to a pair of Altberg Roadrunners. They took a while to come through, having placed the order back in June.

First impression - very, very well made and comfortable from the first time I put my feet in them. I’ll  a proper review once I’ve broken them in and tied them out in some more tasting conditions, but I’m really not expecting any issues

Cheapo Hitachi things hooked up to the tv sound system. Nothing special about them, they just make a noise!

I did email a couple of weeks ago to chase them up as the original expected delivery date was early September, so maybe that sped things up a bit. I had a pair of Gaerne MX boots some years ago and they do remind me of those a bit in the sense that they just feel strong and robust.
