Happy New Year. :)

Sounds like you've got the microphone resting on top of the engine, difficult to tell what the noise is or where it's coming from.

Sounds OK to me.
Niners tend to be a bit noisy on the top end due to the air injection valves.
Where are you based? Maybe someone could pop along and you could make a comparison.

Hello everybody!

At first - sorry for my bad english :-(

I have TDM 900 ' 03, 56000 km run.

Now my engine sounds like this https://www.youtube....h?v=mbQ_vqa0R4M

Last winter I checked and adjust valve clearense, replace camchain tansioner and now I have this sound.

What is knocking noise from cilinder head?

May be camchain? When I checked valves camsprockets marks did not match 1/2 tooth.

Thanks for your advice :-)

Can't really hear anything unusual? Maybe a little valve noise?

Maybe valve, but I adjusted valves 4000 км ago.

Obviously I have to check it again.

That ticking sounds like there is a little cam chain rattle, I had this recently on another bike best to check it right away

Do you mean that the camchain has little stretched?

It's only a tiny rattle and would doubt you need to be alarmed but as said it could be either valves or cam chain/tensioner but no harm checking both if your goin in there

Thanks guys!

I have a greate desire to check it immediately but the weather is fine now in Belarus and I want ride ride ride :-)  Our winter is too long :-(

Unfortunatly in winter in my garage 5-7 degrees of heat. Perhaps this was the reason for the incorrect adjustment of the valves (it is not room tempreture).

Moto shims is small and may be very tamperature sensative.

Not sure if yo0u already checked, but the early TDM900 had a replacement cam chain tensioner issued, because of failures in the early type. If you google tdm 900 cam chain tensioner you will find plenty opf info. The later type can be identified because it's base/flange is a little bit thicker than the early one. It should have been changed via a recall (from what i understand) but still worth checking
