Have you tried getting in through the hatch at the back? Then seeing if you can unlock from the inside?

The hatch in the back was actually even harder to get key inserted into, but tried it, yes.
Been thinking about possibly having some kind of emergency 12V connector tucked away somewhere accessible from the outside ?

Doin valve clearances? Use dappers valve shim exchange program and the job will be carroty - Free (other than you postin me yer shims) for sporting members.

I watched a program ages ago about car thieves and some guy specialised in rover pinching. ... Wrong in so many ways... Anyways he knew that they had an assembly line diagnostic link tucked behind wheel arch and had made a dohickey that he simply plugged in and popped the locks without setting off alarm.
Now that kind of interface isn't a very good idea....
