Yep, Monschau for us too. We changed 'cause of being messed about by Chateau Du Pap geezer saying he'd overbooked and our rooms weren't available (some weeks after the original booking was made). On top of that he wanted to charge us more for a shared room than our original booking and never responded to emails.
Monschau has a brewery museum

Yes, I have booked into a hotel in Monschau for the night before & after the MT11, the wee traditional German town (apparently one of the few German towns that was not flattened during WWII) looks more like a better stopping point than the Domaine Du Chateau De La Neuville which is located next to a power station in an industrial site I believe!
Last time I looked there was still good availability in the Monschau hotels...

Hi Manx900,
I'm also booked into this Hotel on the 22nd & 27th, I've got a double room that I was going to share a with a mate who has now pulled out
So if you want to save some money cancel yours and share this one
Or if anyone else is looking for a bed on the way over and back (and Manx900 isn't interested) then give me a shout, or I'll try and find a single room somewhere.
Who else is travelling by Eurotunnel ? (I've booked 14:20 out and 13:50 back) I was going to meet up with AliG (he's had to pull out )

Unless anyone is comitted to their present booking maybe we could all have a G2G at Monschau & ride into Masserberg together or at least arrange a rendezvous point for the ride in to Masserberg?

Got in the same two Paddy. think I was the last one on the lower one.
Thanks for that, I know there are plenty of hotels but it is easier to go somewhere when you dont have to look around.
I will send a e-mail to the Catue du pap, but there is probably no one to read it.
Cheers, for that. Ivan

I've booked in the Hotel Jagerersruh, Monschau for the 22nd & 27th as I couldn't get in the Gästehaus Zum Stehling at Mützenich on the 27th, but I'm sure Trevini & Moose will keep me company at the Jagerersruh . I've cancelled the "Catue du pap" via booking.com and so all is good with the world once more. It's actually cheaper at the Jagerersruh than the Chateau and brekkie is included.
