Noticed that the rear master cylinder boot/cover  had dropped down on my 850 mk11. "i'll just pop that back" i thought, whatever i do it will not stay in place. The "top hat" end will not fit inside the cylinder no matter what i do (the cylinder bore is 25mm but the boot measures 29mm) and the small end that fits around the actuating rod is to slack to stay in place  the groove it should fit into measures 9mm while the boot is a nice sliding fit on a 11mm drill bit shank. I'm beginning to think that it isn't the correct boot anybody got any ideas

I've had some similar trouble with one of the the seal rings inside my blue spot calipers, it was kind of expanded so it did not fit any more. I think the cause is some oil resistance flaw, causing the rubbers to expand/swell.

I haven't been able to shrink them any more though.
