After nearly 5 years of ownership I have now sold my TDM900 and am replacing it with another bike I only purchased the TDM900 for a 6 month stop gap as I had been out of the motorcycle scene for over 6 years and thought the TDM900 would be an ideal bike to get back into biking again it says a lot about the bike that it was still with me after nearly 5 years I will miss it i am sure.

Nice bike....what have you moved to out of interest ?

I only got my 900 because the FJ1100 I had was written off and the TDM would see me for about 6 months too..... I'll have had 3.5 years now and swore a few weeks ago I would never sell it, after leaving behind a group of cempetitive chaps on much more capable bikes, because they haven't stuck with the same bike long enough to know it inside out :)

Here's to the learning curve !

Seconded - very nice bike. Is the colour scheme stock? What mileage did the TDM have on it?

I'll guess his new bike will be a 650 Versys. :)

I suspect some insider knowledge.... How about an SWM Superdual, or a KTM....

My neighbour bike mate is looking at one, they're going for under 6 grand new (on offers here and there), very light so the low power isn't too much bother. (Husqvarna based)

The Bike is a custom colour its a very deep Pearl metallic Orange and the bike had covered 11800 miles 2012 model.

I have replaced it with a Tiger Explorer, unreliable heavy and thirsty I know!!!!

Nice , a friend just traded his Tiger 800 in for the Explorer 1200 ...says it's a much better bike, he has all the toys and heated goodies, and where the Tiger 800 didn't do well in cross winds the 1200 is so much better

Congrats. Cracking bike, that's what I'd go for if I was gonna get rid of the tdm.

Ta for the info. Did you have the TDM from new?

It'll be a nice bike for someone.

Did you trade it against the Trumpet?

Nosy sod ain't I?

I purchased the TDM900 when it was about  18 months old with 480 miles on the clock.

I stuck the TDM900 on Gumtree at £3595 it sold at asking price pretty much sold on the day I placed the add.

6 enquiries I was surprised at the response from just a Gumtree ad so still quite sort after bikes.

Thanks for sharing. It's nice to know TDM is still popular.
Glad you got the asking price (if the bike was as good as photo he got a good deal) - and hopefully a smooth transaction.
Thanks again - enjoy the Triumph.
