Sir Cumference (great name!) I'm well impressed with the lovely appearance of your engine (fitting engine bars on another topic page), particularly the chrome fittings. My "new" 2008 900 looks just like that now, and I want to keep it that way. Are the fittings stainless? What's the secret to keeping the engine looking so good, apart from keeping it indoors?

2008 TDM900 in beautiful black. Fender extender, after market Bullster touring screen, radiator guard, RM-G crash bars, 12V/USB socket, Oxford heated grips, Bagster tank cover, centre stand, E22 Givi panniers, standard exhausts. Beautiful Acerbis hand guards. <p>2015 Honda Crosstourer Highlander dct. Fabulous bike, but getting heavier as I age. The 9er is its replacement, eventually.

Good car shampoo n hand wash on a regular (not frequent), basis. Anti corrosion spray ACF50 FS365 Motorex, depending on what's available in the shed (currently FS365), liberally applied after each wash. All fittings are standard although PO has used stainless Allen screws. I added a front wheel fender extender and a piece of stickyback plastic to the centre front bottom of the engine (you'll see the rectangle shape when you look), as this is where the paint can be abraded by debris from the front tyre.

Needs a wash soon as today's run in the rain has removed the protective layer of dead insects.
Ta for noticing the cleanliness.
