insurance renewel came thru
phoned bennetts to check some of the details as the points line was mixed up on the form with the accident

3 bikes(all modifications/changes reported to the insurers) on same policy with Bennetts
best quote they can do £336.38 TPFT for 27yr old rider with a points conviction & 2 accidents
but...the extras
legal cover £25.99
bikeguardplus £59.00
Personnal Accident cover £24.99
Helmet & Leathers cover £48

online quote with carols gash
£248.51 inc legal & breakdown cover
thats over £180 difference ranting.gif

get back on the phone to bennetts and askthem to price match
they say best we can do is £255 inc legal & breakdown, so i pay the extra for personal accident and drop the leathers cover
fine i'll take that, for the sake of under a tenner difference i'll stay with those that have been helpful

note to my elf: get a quote for carol&her gash everytime renewal comes in.....

Being an official Old Git I can't join in the youngest rider competition and my insurance is now so low I didn't change insurers at my renewal this year for the first time - I stuck with eBike at £140 Fully comp which includes home and relay breakdown cover. It would have been £125 if i hadn't had the laser tecs and power commander fitted.
I've also got the car covered with them and was surprised when I used their breakdown service today that the RAC turned up - to buy this alone online is over £100.

Farkles - Laser Duo Techs, MTC Stainless Exhausts, Laser Duo Techs, Power Commander and custom map, Tenere 1200 Handguards, Yamaha Heated Grips, MRA Vario screen, SW Motech Alurack,  Givi and Hepco and Becker top boxes, Givi Engine bars, Garmin Zumo XT

If I renewed mine now I would have to pay £125 for fully comp with 3 years N.C.B. inc recovery but not legal cover as I am a member of RSS (Rider Support Services). Which is roughly what I pay now for TPFT with 2 years N.C.B.

But if I still had my old Varadero 125 I would have to pay nearly £250 for fully comp with the 3 years N.C.B..... where's the logic in that?
