Edit:
Caveat lector!!!
Seems this thread has cause a kafuffle for a few folks as the info gleaned from eBay was daft... who would have believed it?!?!?
There's another thread, over here LINK, trying to get it sorted out. I will update this thread when they do.

End edit#

Been having a look around to see what's available, not bloody much listed for the TDM's, and there wasn't a great deal of easy to find details of what else would fit... but I did get lucky with one eBay dealer that sells levers etc. I gleaned the following info from his adverts.

I'm not sure if the 900ABS has the same brake and clutch levers, can someone who's lucky enough to have access to the variant please comment.
2004+ ABS / non ABS levers are similar (same part number). (Thanks JBX.)

A Kawasaki ER5 clutch lever and bracket can be fitted to the TDM850 with minimal effort. The ER5 clutch lever has a span adjuster.

The lists above should give "straight swap" alternatives, no other modifications needed, and the benefit of getting matching clutch/brake pairs (for the aesthetically concious).

With the prevalence of adjustable levers coming out of China nowadays it is possible to pick up a set for under 50GBP/90AU/80US, just have a gawk on eBay and the other such auction sites, there's also shorties and different profiles available... whatever rings ya' bell, floats ya boat, yanks ya chain, etc. good.gif

I could do with a clutch lever that's closer to the grip, especially for heavy traffic, just to ease the load on me ageing mitts.

Brake lever 2002-2003 and 2004+ are different (different master cylinder too).

2004+ ABS / non ABS levers are similar (same part number).

Thanks JBX,

I've edited the original post to reflect your advice.

Do you, or does anyone else, have access to a Yamaha parts system to cross reference the part number for the 2004+ brake lever?

Cheers,
AzzA

Edit:
Have found part number 5VS-83922-00

FZ6 2004-2007
FZ1-S 2010
XJ6F 2010
XJ6 2009-2010
FZ1 2008-2010
TDM900 2005-2010
FJR1300 2006-2008
XT660T Tenere 2008-2010

Edit 2:
Have found clutch lever part number changed 02-03
2002 = 3YX-83912-00
2003 = 3YX-83912-11
not sure if the part changed or just the finish, ie flat metal to polished, but those selling them say that 3YX-83912-11 will fit all 900's.

Now the part number for the R1 99-06 lever is 4XV-83912-11
my guess is that it will fit the TDM900... can anyone confirm/debunk this?

Tried to fit some levers today. They were advertised for the YZF R6 99 - 04.

According to the above they should fit my 02 900 but the clutch doesn't. Haven't tried the brake because of this.

Am now not sure if I've ordered the wrong thing or ordered the right thing and been supplied the wrong thing!

BUGGER!

Thanks Studley, this site is VERY useful! Unfortunately it appears I've ordered the wrong thing and the info further up this thread is wrong.

Now to plead with via Ebay with the supplier in Hong Kong...
