Graeme It did occur to me that some of our throng will be TDM subject matter experts (not me) and may be prepared to share same in informal, interactive setting after a hard days ride but before the serious disablement sets in...ie gather round a TDM with a beer to listen to Professor (insert your name here) regale us with the finer points of (for example) bike handling, countersteering, suspension set up, carb balancing, fuel injection, windscreening etc. (no need to actually know anything, just to think that you do!) Do you think there could be some takers? Rick Hi Rick, I have a feeling (strong) that this is going to happen anyway. It may not be possible though to nominate the exact time but if it can be, why not. I'll make a small wager that "screens" is going to be the most discussed topic (you read it here first). Hi Rick, well picked, yes Ben would be the likely pilot. Like the "V" idea or whatever other plan is devised. Never know we might make it into the carpe calendar. Will speak with Ben at earliest op. Any other thoughts? cheers Graeme Have spoken with Ben and he will be delighted to help us get some shots at the Lake or anywhere for that matter. Have also teed up someone to actually hang out the window (of the plane) and take them. Pencil it in for the Friday morning but it will depend on weather to a large extent. Ben personally thinks the lake may have water in it in Oct caused by increased rainfall in Eastern Ausrtralia, itself caused by evaporation from a very wet inland Australia (Lake Eyre etc). We shall see. Not long now--- Graeme This post has been edited by graeme: Mon 9th Aug 2010, 11:13 AM -------------------- Take the long way home

Thanks Graeme,
thought I was subscribed to these threads, obviously wasn't, and have missed lots of posts. Cheers from Unzud, AzzA HI Azza, Got them last year but this link is to the same shop on ebay uk but the product is slightly changed. Cant (couldnt) get them in Australia, as you can see they are generic 17mm for ohlins. As I recall ended up buying from here as best combo of price / postage at that time. They are handy for when you do change the preload. You didnt pick up on TDMToraneko's comment of a couple of weeks back then in TDUT? Very!! eagle eye on seeing that camera mount yesterday or whenever. preload adjust 17mm cheers Graeme -------------------- 2009 TDM900, ScottOiler & LubeTube, Centre Stand, 1150GS Hand Guards, TweetyBird Alarm, Givi E45 Panniers + V46 Topbox + Racks, Bum Loving Custom Seat, Beaded Seat Cover, Dodgy Tank Sticker, AirBox Mod' (performance is too flaky without it), Fenda Extenda, First Scratch (lovingly installed by dealer), Michelin PR2 Tyres, DIY exhaust mod, TigerScreen, Dobeck EFI tweaker, Stebel Nautilus (a real "look where you're going you dopey bastard" horn), Training Wheels, and a really crappy throttle lock.

Hi all, Great Alpine Road is known to many of you but this section has never had this degree of clear view that i can remember. They slashed along the side a few months ago and today had to ride to Bairnsdale and remembered camera to get this shot. Was trying out the new video cam as well but am having stability issues with its mount so no decent video of the section. Anyway, here it is.

AWESOME !! really hope I can make it Hi Ian, i really hope you can make it for the whole week! There are two parts of this sequence of corners but only half are vis at any one point. It sure makes it better (safer) being able to see through the bends. Hundreds more bends of course which is why my just replaced PR2 on the front ends up looking like this.
