his is a long story I'm going to try to cut it down.

Had an accident September 07 on the Speed Four.
Resolved June 09 50/50.
While I was in Canada in Early July 10, my sister answered the door to bailiffs demanding £1805.08 from me apparently I lost a court case in November 09 as to paying the fees (I knew nothing about this.)
Get home and ring the solicitor, what is actually going on is that HSBC had paid the damages but not the costs.
He gets on to HSBC who deny they have received anything about this which is crap they have received countless emails and letter from my solicitor and the 3rd party insurance company demanding this money.
The other insurance company saw on other option but to start a case against me.
HSBC then say they are refusing to pay the costs because I didn't notify them till 9 months, which aside from being illegal is rubbish.
After much fucking about and arguing and them promising to make a decision I used this website http://www.connectotel.com/marcus/ceoemail.html and emailed the CEO of HSBC UK (yesterday)
Today my solicitor finally told me they had agreed to pay it.
They where utterly useless never sticking to deadlines and rarely replied to correspondence. They have also yet to apologise.

The whole reason you pay insurance is so you doubt have to deal with this shit, I have banked with HSBC for 12 years and I plan to change that ASAP. It has been incredibly stressfully and tainted my holiday and my birthday I have contacted BBC Watchdog.

Do you know how horrible it is while you are on holiday to have your mum tell you your sister answered the door to bailiffs? Fuck HSBC, I urge all of you to never get involved with them.

Been through this too, know how you feel mate. Took me a year and a County Court Judge to resolve mine, and the other party admitted fault on the day of the accident. Insurers would not back down.

Sorry to hear about your problems Chris but don't stress too much about the ruined holiday, It was ruined the moment you decided to go to Canada tongue.gif
Glad you finally got it sorted though.
Just posting to thank you for the link.
I've been having trouble with BT for 18 months now and am pi**ed right off with it so using your link I e-mailed the CEO of BT.
Within 10 minutes of sending the e-mail I got a call from his office (not him though) taking the history of the problem and promising to sort it out tomorrow, and if it's not I have been given a direct number (and a name) to call back to the office.

So a big fumz up for that and I'll buy you a beer or cake (beer flavoured cake?) when we meet.

Sorry about your probs.
great site, thank you.
I am with hsbc and would be happy to leave them but all the banks seem to have the same level of ethics (take as much as you can and give as little as possible, screw the country and the people who live there)
Is there actually a bank that has some integrety

please dont tell me about the coop and ethical banking, because their ethics dont seem to fit with mine.

If anybody does know a bank that gives a dam, I think we would all sign up.

sorry, sounds more like a rant than a message
