i discovered my rear pads worn out and a nice bit of surface grinding on the rear disk 
so i need a new disc

having a good clean and a look about on the bike today i discovered my rear pads worn out and a nice bit of surface grinding on the rear disk
so i need a new disc

yeah just bang some new pads in and ride away. My rear disk has grooves in it but no drop in performance cos of it. If you do get a wavey they do look good on the back cos they seem to look smaller.

it aint just grooves rob
kinda has a nice rough texture and undercutting. ive mic'd it at 4.2mm in places and manual says 4.5 minimum. for 50 quid (and the price of pads ) i fancy the wavey

plenty on there - R1, 600 fazer etc etc - very common disc used on many yam's
Just match the pattern of the holes in the disc and it'll be the same

I've got a pair of their wavey's on my X4 and I have to say that I'm not impressed, the finish is very rough on the edges as in it can cut you, the rivety things that hold the outers to the inners are becoming a bit rattly, they are not made to very close tolerances either, when fitted to the bike the centre hole is a bit big which means that it is near impossible to centre it spot on, although this is not noticable when the on the bike, it is noticable in the wear lines created by the pads, in some areas the wear lines are at the edge, in others there is a 2mm space, at times it feels like they may be warped slightly too, I have had them on for a couple of thousand miles and I'll be replacing them with suitable oem items as soon as some are on ebay at the right price, I did intend to get a matching rear disc but not any more.

Check the diameter too. Ask if you have too. I think TDM is 245mm and some out there are 267mm. Look the same in photos though. If you check EBC part numbers on M&P you can find models that match
All now a fond (very fond) memory. Maybe again some day.

A colleague of mine bought a load of stuff from Stealth Products. Wheel bearings, C&S, new discs (F&R) and pads.
He had no end of trouble. First rear disc warped in less than a week. Front discs took 8 weeks to come through to him and were for a different bike. Even the front sprocket was wrong.
In the end it took him 6 months of weekly phonecalls to get the situation sorted. He's now spent the dosh on genuine Kawasaki parts.
I thought Stealth looked good, but I won't even be considering using any of their products.

I have steath disc's on my bike and have had no problems todate . But they were slow to deliver item's.
My hall of fame or shame before Tdm850 : GPZ750, GSX750,ZZR600,YZF600Thundercat,CB-1,YZF750,(F650GS forgot about this,it was that slow!!!!!)

I have the stealth viper wavey disc's, the first set the sent were delivered in 1 week like they said but they were wrong (replacement rotors for EBC prolites) sent them my carriers and they returned them 2 1/2 weeks later, said a week. Well having paid for my discs in May and waited several months for them to arrive, all of the paint flaked off when fitted. Stealth had painted on discs already anodised. The discs also warped....nice.
I informed PA Motorcycles of this and they said "no problems"....use those ones and we will get new ones made up by Stealth and sent to you...swap them over...jobs a carrot.
After another few months, PA Motorcycles gave up trying to get Stealth to do anything...so I took over the pestering. I have been pestering them for another month or so. The discs are always a week away! They also think they are only providing new inner sections (oh how wrong they are).
They now have until Friday to provide me with a completion date, after which they will be wishing they had sent the discs out much much much earlier.
