Right as Renntec has discontinued the bars it seems that there is still interest in them so I have asked them if they will make another batch. They said they may concider it if there is enough interest. If I can go to them and say we have say 10 people wanting them they may do this. Price would be around £90 plus post.

Pop your name on here if your interested in a set. Once we get the numbers we can see what they say. Payment will need to be made in full before the order goes in but this is the only way we'll be able to get this to happen.

Cheers

Tom

Then haven't got any, I placed an order earlier and had a phone call an hour later saying the'll refund me. Hence getting in touch with Renntec to see if the'll do another batch!

I know I'm late to the party, but if Renntec made another batch, I'd be interested. I'm in the USA and have been looking for a set of Renntec crash bars for quite some time now.

while your about it , why not ask rentec if they can modify the design so that the bars dont crush the bottom hose. the top bolt bracket thats welded to the main bars assy, needs to be longer by 2cm to comfortably fit with no crushing at all. this is a very simple mod and would cure the only issue with these good bars.

Why Renntec, are they better than Givi bars which seem to be avail for UK £90 all in?

Renntec were/are specific to MkI (& would fit MkII's), Givi's afaw are specific for 900, & I dont think anyone offered a set up to an eightfiddy to see if they'd fit

Done: Homo sap navigation/ twisty thing on bars to make it go vroom/ grabby thing to make it stop (in front of twisty thing)/ 'leccy things front and rear to make it glow at night/ Sucky + drippy oiler thing to keep chains moist (!!) / Laser Pro Stock Race pipes / bleeding ear drums (see previous mod)
To do: Educate homo sap nav system to operate twisty + grabby things/ get ear plugs

All Trashed Now... Pants... its a Cat B Mwahahaha it lives again!!

No the 900 Givi bars don't fit the mkI (and thus mkII), I've got them side by side and they clearly won't swap.

The Givi bars are great on the 9er as are the Renntec bars on the mkI / mkII

I don't like these bars though, don't look like they'd do much protecting?

Hi
I also contacted Renntec, but they dont make the bars anymore.

BUT... I found a japanese copy, got them today and put them on in 5 minutes
It was marked >96, so my heart dropped when I saw it, as I have 2001 4tx, but they were a perfekt fit.

A bit pricey with freight from Japan+ Norwegian taxes, but hey, Looks lovely laugh.gif
And it arrived in just a week..

Check it out
