So a complete but knockered bottom end of a Mk2 has presented itself.

Alex has a US Mk1 in dire need of a decent gearbox.

So I ask you Carpedians!.........Can a Mk1 setup be exchanged for a Mk2?

I stink so in its entirety. Have a late mkII grrr box to go in me very very very slow mkI/mkII/9'er injun build.

The 9'er grrr box however definitely will snot unless ya dont mind a chunk hangin ooot the side.

The plan is 9'er bawwels....but the bafoon who sent them left them rattling around loose in the box with the gearbox, so at least some tweaking will be required!!!!
