there's a number of folks on here that fitted handguards. The most popular seem to be Kedo's and BMW GS models. I haven't heard of anyone trying the KTM ones yet, but it sounds like an interesting project

..and your score for your specialist round, "Handguards for the TDM900", is 10/10. You've passed on no questions so far - congratulations!

Interesting, though there's something a bit uncomfortable about guards described as "cutting edge hand protection" - I can't quite put my finger on it.

Your local BMW dealer should be able to get them for you - I paid £35 for mine 12 months ago and then £5 to a local engineering shop to drill and tap the bar ends. Add in the heated grips you've already got and you'll be toasty warm all year round!

even without the heated grips. Ever since I fitted the hand guards I haven't ridden a km without my ventilated summer gloves

we have BMW dealer in shipley, yorkshire, that may stock or get them for me. i`m just hoping they are open tommorow. Any modifications will be no problem if necessary, i supply to many a competent engineer. I got to say that i`ve got more info off this site in the last month than i have ever got in a life time of biker mates who profess to knowing all that is to know about any bike. I was all in for dumping me TDM for a Pan i never really wanted because i was told ..You cant , it wont, its not poss on TDM`s what you need is Blah! blah!..
I`ve been rebuilding me Yami XS 250 for 2 yrs , wish i`d have had this sort of info at hand, by that i mean instant info.

Hmm... does might look handy for me. The low ABM steering bar disables the use of the BMW handguards as well as the KTM ones (if they would fit at all). These Cycra guards seem slimmer, simpler and made for straight handlebars anyway. Anybody knows if there's a (online) shop in Europe as well?

I had the exact same problem as I have adjustable bars, set to as low and forward as possible. These are a doddle to fit and I like the idea of my hands not being 'enclosed' in the event of an accident.

They could be a little larger though for warmth - I have also taped over the ventilation holes with some Hi Viz tape to stop the draught!. There are some with rubber bits round the outside which claim to offer 20% more protection but I haven't found them in Europe.
I got mine from a chap on Ebay, not knowing the make at the time. I'm very pleased with them
