Evenin' all..

I just found out about these guys online. Might be of interest to any London based MKi, MKii, or TRX owners that need an engine overhaul!

I havent actually used this place yet but it sounds pretty good! Anyone know of it?

I know it's down south, but surely £22 per hour for space & tools is pulling the tits off the cow?

I dunno.. I certainly don't have the means or space to build a workshop and it would be a good way of learning. What's labour now, £50 an hour? There's guys there that walk you through procedures too and at least I know whether I've done a good job or not. I hate leaving my bike with mechanics. Anyone know of anywhere that does something similar?

I would have to go with the collective. You can't beat a fettle day. I've hosted 2 and there was a huge amount of knowledge on hand fixing everything from front forks to wiring up warning lights. I think we agreed that valve shims would be better left to a specific day rather than during the hussle and bussle of a fettle day.

The cake was also good and there was a fair bit of banter too.

You could empty a local cake shop for the price of a days fettle in one of those places.

If  there's cake and coffee, there'll always be help on hand. :rotflmmfao:

£22 an hour ? that's a lot, so doing your shims could take two hours, no time for tea and cake.

Go to a Carpe fettle day, bacon rolls, tea and cake and lots of guys with tools and knowledge to help you sort it yourself.

£1200 plus in the first 12 months is an expensive bike.
