Just returned from a 5 week tour of of Norway and Sweden.

Incredible empty roads & 24 hour daylight.. crossing the artic circle really special.

A good alternative to the usual Med destination.

Want to do this myself one day ! Afraid that finances would not allow it if it were not a primitive style tour. Been there driving a bus, allways wanted to do it by my bike. Did you go throughout Lofoten ?

Hi Bjorge, yes we took the ferry from Bodo to Mosjenes and rode up through the penninsular to Narvic.
It was truly beautiful, the light so pure, probably the highlight of the trip.
With regards to cost we camped using a small quick erect tent for all but 5 days of the trip

Oh, yeah, will start working on my woman to have her come with me next year. I go to Stamsund every year, but haven't been on an mc yet. Relatively nice roads, drmatic mountains, the sea, the weather and the all-day-and-night light.... mmmm.....

Might be best to test your lady out on a shorter trip first to see how she copes.

Having been away for 5 weeks I'm desperately trying to catch-up on normal duties & I'm no great shakes with loading multiple images.

Yyou can do it for yourself, there are much better piccies on the web. Just type in Lofoten Isles or Norway tourist info

Sounds like the time is right for you both to sit down and start the initial planning for a trip next summer?
