I've been trawling eBay for a replacement gearbox for my Mk1 which slips out of 3rd gear under load. I've been advised by someone who just sold a complete 850 engine that a 900 6 speed box will fit. Anyone know if this is true?

Hello. I'm looking for a gearbox for my 92 TDM. Do you know what the condition is in this one?
Thanks,
Alun

Hello mate
Sold the engine already
Stick this in. http://pages.ebay.co...id=180761262607 You won't regret it ( done 3 )

Thanks. Isn't a 900 gearbox 6 speed? It wouldn't fit in a Mk1 850 would it?

Yes it's 6 speed and yes it fits. Just tighter to get in
Like I said. I've done 3 conversions. 2 in France the last went to oz
