Hi all.

I have a 4tx and today i wasn't really keeping an eye on the revs while  showing a sports bike what the tdm can do   and im sure it had revved to 9000 rpm so i quickly changed gear.

I tried it again later on the way home and yes sure enough it will rev to 9rpm but no limiter kicked in, is this normal? Ive done nothing to the bike except put a nexus exhaust system on.

I did a forum search and ive seen conflicting views of when it should kick in. I don't plan on taking it that far all the time but i just thought that at 9000 rpm and in the red it should have kicked by then?

So is the 4tx  9500 or 10000 rpm  , my rev counter as you know only goes to 9500  and the red starts at 8 rpm  :hide:

I don't recall the number correctly, but the rev limiter on my 1996 mkII kicked in after the needle of the instrument left the red sector on the other side ;)

Wow really

The other side of the red is the dark side so don't think i will ever hit my limiter then  :rotflmmfao:

They do limit - but just enjoy the 4500 - 7500 rpm torque  :badgerrock:
